Fall Festival

The Fall Festival was a great success and hopefully you all had as much fun as we did. Thank you to the volunteers who helped that day and thank you to all who participated. It’s always fun to see our past students as well as our present ones!

School Photos

First, let me tell you how wonderful your children were waiting their turn to take their pictures. Even the youngest students here did a remarkable job!In two or three weeks you will receive information on ordering your child’s pictures. Trust me, you will be impressed!

Candy Drive

Girl Scout Troop 7451 of La Canada is trying to earn their Silver Award by having a candy drive to send to the Troops. We will be helping them by collecting leftover candy from Halloween. We know a lot of parents here don’t want the candy lingering at home so this is a perfect way to do something nice with it. We will be collecting for them until November 7th.

Thanksgiving Feasts

Our Thanksgiving Feasts (November 21st and 22nd ) are different from any other party we have at school. Each side of school has a lunch-time feast where all the children sit together. If you are a parent that has signed up to help with the feast you will be receiving information regarding what you are responsible for bringing. As with any party at P&C, everyone is welcome to join in the festivities. On the day of your child’s Feast they do not need to bring a lunch.

We will not have P&C Artists or Phonics because of low enrollment on November 21 and 22 because of low enrollment.

Tile Wall

We will be having all the beautiful tiles fired soon. The most expensive part of the project is to have the tiles installed on our walls. If anyone here has the ability to install them or knows someone who is a reasonable cost, please let Marji or Julie know! We appreciate your help.

Heads up!

Conferences

Every year Parents and Children’s closes classes for one day so we can meet with the parents and let you know about your child’s progress, abilities, friendships and a lot more! Please mark your calendar for that closure. Again, it is on the calendar, but we also want to make sure you are aware way ahead of time. Conferences will be Friday, January 27th .

We still have openings for Hot Lunch sponsorships just in case anyone is interested??? It’s $50.

SHELTER ANIMALS

Miss Jennifer through the year helps a Burbank Animal Shelter by bringing them blankets, dog beds, towels, leashes, anything that helps the animals be more comfortable while they await adoption. If you have any items (used) that you would like to donate, please bring them and Miss Jennifer will take them to the shelter.
